Pharmacy Professionals:
Responsibilities The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations. Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality. Does related work, as required. Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
High School graduate or GED. 2+ year?s previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs). Completion of sterile compounding training/competency (as required by State BOP). Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT). BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
