Home Health and Hospice Schedule:
Full-time, (onsite) - 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-6:30pm window. No weekends, on-call as needed. Specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process. Position Summary Utah's second largest Home Health and Hospice company - Community Nursing Services, "CNS" is seeking an Infusion IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support our Home Health and Hospice pharmacy operations. This is a closed-door pharmacy - NO RETAIL! Take your pharmacy technician skills to the next level with hands-on sterile IV compounding. This onsite role provides critical operational support to our pharmacy team, requiring strong math skills and meticulous attention to detail in preparing life-saving infusion therapies.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly:
Starting at $21.00, We offer more hourly based on experience, education and work history.
Schedule:
Full-time, Flexible 8-hour shift options with staggered hours between 8:30am-6:30pm.

Work in a closed-door, compounding-focused environment Hands-on sterile IV compounding - elevate your pharmacy technician skills Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth and advancement Monday-Friday schedule with NO weekends and NO on-call Make a meaningful impact providing critical medications to homebound patients Key Responsibilities Prepare sterile IV admixtures, chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition (TPN), and other compounded medications in compliance with USP and standards Compound medications using aseptic technique in laminar airflow hoods and biological safety cabinets Perform calculations and measurements to ensure accurate drug concentrations and dosages Maintain clean room environments and perform environmental monitoring Verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness Label compounded medications with proper patient information, administration instructions, and stability dating Maintain detailed compounding logs and batch records for all preparations Monitor and document refrigerator/freezer temperatures and environmental conditions Manage inventory of IV solutions, medications, and compounding supplies Order pharmaceutical supplies and maintain par levels Inspect and rotate stock according to expiration dates Receive, verify, and stock incoming pharmacy orders Process prescription orders and prepare medications for delivery to patients Communicate with nurses, physicians, and clinical staff regarding medication orders and patient needs Package and prepare medications for courier delivery or patient pickup Maintain pharmacy equipment including hoods, pumps, and compounding devices Assist with quality assurance activities and participate in competency assessments Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols Follow DEA regulations for controlled substance handling and documentation Maintain organized and sanitary work environment Participate in continuing education and training programs Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Current Utah Pharmacy Technician license in good standing National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacy technician experience Sterile compounding/IV compounding experience strongly preferred USP and USP training and experience highly desirable Chemotherapy compounding experience a plus Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Understanding of aseptic technique and sterile compounding principles Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Strong organizational and time management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Team player with professional demeanor Proficiency with pharmacy software and computer systems Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) while compounding medications Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precise measuring, manipulating syringes, and handling small vials Ability to work in clean room environment wearing required PPE (gowns, gloves, masks, hair covers) Visual acuity to read small print on medication labels, syringes, and computer screens Ability to lift and carry boxes of supplies and medications up to 40 lbs Ability to bend, reach, and stoop to access supplies and equipment Ability to work in temperature-controlled clean room environments Sustained focus and concentration for detailed compounding work Ability to sit or stand at computer workstations for documentation This job summary outlines the general nature and level of responsibilities and is not an exhaustive list of all duties or skills required.
