Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Per Diem A healthcare facility is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician for a per diem position in the Charlottesville, VA area. This role provides essential support in medication distribution and customer service, ensuring patients receive the correct prescriptions and helpful guidance about their use. The position offers a consistent schedule with daytime hours, ideal for those looking to maintain a balanced work-life routine while gaining valuable experience in pharmacy operations.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Total hours: 90 hours over two weeks
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately distribute medications prescribed by healthcare practitioners Provide clear information to patients regarding medication usage and safety Deliver exceptional customer service that supports patient care and satisfaction Maintain adherence to pharmacy protocols and regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Virginia Experience in retail pharmacy and/or long-term care settings preferred Strong communication skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
