Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a contract position. This role supports pharmacy operations by accurately distributing medications prescribed by healthcare providers and offering essential information to customers regarding their prescriptions. The position emphasizes exceptional customer service and adherence to pharmacy standards.
Schedule:
Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (specific dates from June 30 to July 24, 2026) Each shift is 9 hours
Location:
Charlottesville, VA Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications as prescribed by physicians and other authorized practitioners Provide clear and accurate information to patients about medication usage and safety Maintain a high standard of customer service while assisting pharmacy patrons Support daily pharmacy operations with professionalism and efficiency Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Virginia Experience in retail or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, standards, and medication handling procedures Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment with a focus on accuracy and patient care.
