Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Contract A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician with IV Certification to support home infusion services. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a clinical setting focused on providing specialized infusion care.
Location:
Suffolk, VA Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medications for home infusion therapy following strict protocols. Accurately compound intravenous (IV) admixtures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Assist pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations and medication management. Maintain detailed documentation and inventory control for infusion supplies. Provide support during patient counseling and coordinate with healthcare providers involved in home infusion care. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and facility policies related to pharmacy practice.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Pharmacy Technician certification with valid IV certification. Demonstrated experience in home infusion pharmacy or similar healthcare settings. Strong knowledge of sterile compounding practices and USP guidelines. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently within multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and electronic medical records.
Schedule/Hours:
Flexible hours based on patient and facility needs. This contract role is in the drafting phase for client review and represents a promising engagement with a new healthcare client.
