  • Seattle & King County is seeking (1 ) One Pharmacy Technician, that will be locate at Eastgate Public Health location, to join our vibrant multi-disciplinary, and diverse dental team to support the delivery of health services to the county's most vulnerable people.
Our clients are culturally, socially, and linguistically diverse. Applicants should be committed to working with diverse populations to provide excellent customer service to people from a broad range of cultures, communities, backgrounds, and experiences, including people experiencing homelessness and/or mental illness. This position supports and advances the Community Health Services Division (CHS) values for fair and culturally competent service delivery, innovative, effective, and efficient application of resources, building a culture of performance, expanding opportunities to seek input, and listen and respond to clients. This position will work with underserved population in a clinic setting, Mon-Friday, no weekend or holidays. We only handle few Medicaid sponsored insurance plan and process 200 prescriptions per day from our own clinic providers. Majority of our patients are non-English speakers, mostly Spanish, and therefore, we are looking for someone who can speak Spanish to join our pharmacy team. The technician will be responsible for preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, insurance claims, invoice processing and customer services under pharmacist supervision and adhering to regulatory guidelines and public health standards.

Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. Job Duties Provide effective customer service for public and clinic patients Ensure accurate prescription processing, contacting providers for clarification, compliance with state and federal regulation, keep accurate record keeping and medication outdates. Maintain appropriate stock level of medication and supplies, inspect shipments for accuracy, damage and compliance with safety protocols Assist pharmacist in daily operation, including billing and invoicing, perform administrative functions required by King County Finance department Perform other duties assigned by pharmacists
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Ideal Candidate:
Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician license in good standing or ability to obtain prior to start date Effective communication skills (oral and written) Basic mathematics calculation skills Valid basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR or ability to obtain upon hire Ability to lift up to 20lb for records
Desired Candidate:
