  • 1,800/week) based on experience Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations within an acute care hospital setting.
The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists with medication preparation, distribution, inventory management, and medication safety initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices for patient care. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, labeling, and distributing medications. Process medication orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with established procedures. Maintain medication inventory, including stocking, replenishment, and monitoring expiration dates. Prepare medications for delivery to patient care units. Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy technology platforms. Support medication safety initiatives and quality assurance programs. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational pharmacy regulations. Respond promptly to medication requests from nursing and clinical staff. Assist with controlled substance documentation and inventory processes as assigned. Utilize electronic medical record systems and pharmacy software effectively. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy work environment. Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program preferred. Licensure & Certifications Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required. Current state Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure, if applicable, required. Experience Minimum one (1) year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience required. Experience working in an acute care hospital environment preferred. First-time travelers accepted. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and medication distribution systems. Experience with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management. Familiarity with automated dispensing cabinets and pharmacy technology. Proficiency with electronic medical records and pharmacy information systems. Experience with EPIC or similar healthcare software preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Commitment to patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

ASAP No on-call responsibilities. Traveler assignment only; candidates residing within 50 miles of the assigned facility are not eligible.
