Job Description

Seeking technician with previous
NON-STERILE
compounding experience. Columbia Compounding in Vancouver, WA is searching for a motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to work with our team as a compounding technician. At Columbia Compounding we provide custom medication made from quality ingredients. Our brand-new state-of-the-art facility utilizes the latest pharmaceutical technology and complies with United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards. We believe in providing our patients with genuine care, educating them to make informed medication decisions, and finding the best solutions for their individual health and wellness goals. As such quality and safety are paramount to what we do, so it is important that you take pride in your work and care about attention to detail. We are a new startup compounding pharmacy led by a second-generation pharmacist with 16+ years of compounding experience. Desired Qualities and Abilities:
Detail and team-oriented individual that has excellent customer service skills, multitasking and answering phones. Multiple hats will be worn as we are a startup business. Process prescriptions in a timely fashion from typing the prescription, pulling the correct medication and filling the prescription. Willing to be trained in preparing various compounded formulations including but not limited to oral solutions, creams, ointments, troches, suppositories and animal treats. Willing to be trained on how to operate, monitor and maintain work area and compounding equipment in a sanitary fashion including equipment such as: ointment mill, tube sealer, electronic mortar and pestle, hot plates, balances, sieves, and glassware. Willingness to be trained in all workstations at the pharmacy. (mailing, register, compounding, data entry, etc) Willingness to go to business paid continuing education courses in compounding when required/requested. Able to work full-time Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 6pm.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Current certification from an accredited School of Pharmacy Tech training Licensed and registered with the Washington State Board of Pharmacy Minimum 1-year pharmacy experience desired Previous Compounding experience preferred but not required.
