Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician Specialist - Infusion Center serves as a key member of the ambulatory infusion team, providing advanced technical and operational support to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of infusion therapies. This position is responsible for coordinating medication procurement, preparation, inventory management, prior authorization support, scheduling coordination, and regulatory compliance activities while collaborating closely with pharmacists, nurses, providers, and patients to optimize workflow and support high-quality patient care.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required Junior College/Technical School is preferred West Virginia Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration is required National Pharmacy Technician Certification is required
Experience:
2 Years of Position-Related Experience is required. The kind of position-related experience includes working as a pharmacy technician in an inpatient hospital pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, or an infusion center setting or having previous involvement with prior authorizations, patient scheduling, and/or intravenous (IV) product compounding.
