  • Part-time Core Diagnostic Laboratories is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Lab Technician/ Phlebotomist to be a part of our growing laboratory team!
The main laboratory is located in Birmingham, AL. This collector position will be onsite at a client's office in Fort Payne, AL.
MUST HAVE PHLEBOTOMY EXPERIENCE.
Candidate must be comfortable handling biohazardous materials with provided PPE.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, quality control and patient testing on moderate complexity lab equipment. Collect blood samples Accurately order all tests listed on the patient requisition form Appropriately process samples according to the testing criteria Prepare samples for shipment to laboratory Follow HIPPA regulations and Universal Precautions Evaluate sample integrity (clots, hemolysis, etc.) Communicate issues to management in a timely manner
Skills:
Phlebotomy Attention to detail Sample processing experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team Efficient in computer operations Previous lab experience is required
