30-50 draws (sticks) per day
Experience Level:
2-3 years Position Overview The Phlebotomist I is responsible for performing daily specimen collection and processing within a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) setting. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and a strong ability to provide a positive patient experience while adhering to all safety, compliance, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimen collection (blood, urine, etc.) accurately and efficiently Ensure proper labeling, handling, processing, and storage of specimens Match specimens to requisitions and ensure accurate documentation Enter patient, billing, and specimen data into system with high attention to detail Prepare, package, and transport specimens per protocol Maintain daily logs, records, and documentation Follow all safety standards, including proper disposal of biohazard materials and sharps Utilize proper PPE and adhere to lab safety procedures Patient & Client Interaction Provide clear, professional explanations of procedures Maintain a calm and reassuring environment to reduce patient anxiety Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and team members Administrative Duties Complete requisitions and verify test orders and billing information Perform basic clerical duties (filing, faxing, phone support) Assist with inventory tracking and monthly reporting Approve timecards and submit expense logs as required Qualifications Phlebotomy experience required (Intermediate level preferred) Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills Experience with geriatric patients preferred High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage fluctuating patient volume Phlebotomy certification preferred Top Skills Phlebotomy Venipuncture Blood Draws Specimen Collection Patient Care Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bentonville, AR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00
  • $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
