In this energetic and rewarding position, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and other specimens with precision and professionalism, ensuring accurate laboratory testing and diagnosis. Duties Perform blood sampling (venipuncture) and specimen collection using proper laboratory techniques and aseptic methods. Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safe and effective specimen collection. Follow detailed laboratory procedures and maintain strict adherence to clinical protocols to guarantee specimen integrity. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the process. Accurately label, process, and transport specimens to designated laboratories while maintaining chain-of-custody standards. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen handling in compliance with medical terminology standards. Ensure a clean, safe environment by practicing proper infection control techniques and adhering to hygiene standards at all times. Experience Prior laboratory experience or clinical laboratory experience is highly preferred, especially in phlebotomy or blood sampling roles. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and anatomy relevant to venipuncture and blood collection. Experience working in hospital settings or healthcare environments that require patient service skills and medical terminology familiarity. Proven ability to perform venipuncture with confidence using proper aseptic technique while ensuring patient safety. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and vital signs measurement to support accurate specimen collection. Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and providing compassionate patient care in diverse settings.
