Day Mon-Thursday 28 weeks Responsibilities Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and other laboratory techniques, ensuring minimal discomfort and maximum safety. Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures. Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure proper specimen collection and patient comfort. Maintain detailed records of specimen collection, processing steps, and patient information in accordance with hospital protocols. Provide compassionate patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience. Follow all laboratory safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and infection control practices.
