Hours Schedule:

4:00 AM - 12:30 PM and/or 8:00 PM - 4:30

AM Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using vacutainer, syringe, finger stick, and heel stick methods Collect and label blood specimens accurately following laboratory protocols Provide post-venipuncture patient care and monitor for adverse reactions Utilize handheld collection devices and maintain specimen integrity during transport Perform pediatric phlebotomy procedures including finger sticks and heel sticks as needed Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards Maintain accurate documentation and utilize Epic charting systems as required Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff, nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams Support inpatient laboratory services across oncology, labor & delivery, surgical, and trauma units Float to nearby affiliated facilities as needed based on operational requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience required Active California CPT I License required at time of submission BLS Certification required Hospital-based phlebotomy experience preferred Trauma Level I experience required Pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred Strong communication, patient care, and specimen collection skills required Ability to work flexible night schedules, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay:

$1,400.00 - $1,500.00 per week
