Duties Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using aseptic technique to collect specimens efficiently and safely Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and documentation Assist with vital signs measurement and patient care activities to ensure comfort and safety during specimen collection Maintain strict adherence to laboratory procedures, medical terminology standards, and safety protocols Support laboratory technicians by preparing samples for testing and maintaining specimen storage protocols Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and provide compassionate care Document all procedures accurately in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements Experience Proven laboratory procedures experience, including specimen collection, processing, and documentation Hands-on laboratory techniques with a focus on venipuncture, blood sampling, and phlebotomy practices Clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques Experience working with diverse patient populations while demonstrating excellent patient service skills Familiarity with hospital protocols related to specimen handling and patient care activities Prior hospital or healthcare environment experience is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career path where your skills directly impact patient health outcomes.
