The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures and techniques, along with a commitment to providing exceptional patient service. This role involves performing blood sampling and specimen collection while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood sampling on patients of all ages, ensuring comfort and safety. Collect, label, and process specimens accurately according to established protocols. Maintain aseptic techniques during specimen collection to prevent contamination. Document patient information and specimen details in compliance with medical terminology standards. Assist in the preparation of specimens for laboratory analysis. Monitor and record vital signs as needed during patient interactions. Provide excellent patient service by addressing concerns and answering questions regarding procedures. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow within the laboratory setting. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the laboratory environment. Experience Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting is preferred. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, techniques, and equipment is essential. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is highly beneficial. Proven skills in specimen collection/processing and patient care are required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
