This position for a phlebotomist/specimen processor requires weekend and holiday roations Work where every moment matters. Job Summary The Phlebotomist II is responsible for collecting venous and capillary blood specimens from patients in a safe and accurate manner according to established lab policies and practices. In combination with regular phlebotomist duties, additional duties includes but not limited to proficiencies in specimen processing, maintaining inventory, dispatch scheduling and EPIC registration. These responsibilities requires patient contact. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Or, successful completion of Phlebotomy program 6 months of phlebotomy experience Knowledge of venipuncture techniques Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude Good keyboarding skills with ability to learn various laboratory application and HHC computer systems Continuous improvement mindset Ability to handle different patient population including difficult patients. Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills Ability to operate required lab equipment including pneumatic tube We take great care of careers.
