In this energetic position, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and other specimens with precision and care, ensuring accurate laboratory testing and diagnosis. Your expertise in venipuncture, specimen processing, and patient interaction will contribute directly to quality healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Collect, label, and process laboratory specimens accurately following established protocols Obtain vital signs and assess patient condition to ensure safety during procedures Maintain strict adherence to laboratory procedures, safety standards, and infection control practices Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, provide reassurance, and ensure comfort Prepare specimens for transport or analysis, including proper documentation and handling Support laboratory staff by assisting with specimen processing and data entry as needed Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and blood sampling methods Hands-on experience with venipuncture (blood draws), specimen collection, and processing techniques Familiarity with hospital environments or healthcare facilities is highly desirable Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically Knowledge of aseptic technique to prevent contamination or infection during procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Certification or training in phlebotomy is preferred; relevant laboratory or clinical experience is a plus

$22.77 - $27.83 per hour
