Saturday:
6:00 AM•3:00 PM Job Summary The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I•PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients as part of their routine healthcare or critical diagnostic processes. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, ensuring proper handling, and preparing samples for laboratory testing in compliance with established procedures. The PSR I builds trust with patients by performing blood draws safely, accurately, and with compassion while providing clear explanations of procedures. The role requires a strong focus on patient confidentiality, accuracy, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Perform blood collection (venipuncture and capillary) following established procedures Ensure accurate specimen labeling, handling, and preparation for laboratory testing Provide a professional and supportive patient experience, explaining procedures clearly Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing Accurately maintain required records and documentation Execute daily responsibilities with precision and within timelines Demonstrate organizational values and promote a positive company image to patients and the public Work independently while maintaining quality standards Adhere to confidentiality and patient data security guidelines Job Requirements Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent interpersonal and patient-care skills Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques , including: Pediatric collections Geriatric collections Flexibility to work varying shifts, including: Weekends Holidays Overtime and on-call as needed Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent ( Required ) Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic certification (Preferred) Phlebotomy certification ( Preferred; required in select states such as
CA, NV, WA
) Work Experience Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required) 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (Preferred) Prior experience in customer service or patient-facing roles (Preferred) Strong data entry and keyboarding skills (Required) Key Competencies Patient-centric approach with strong communication skills Accuracy and attention to detail Time management and organizational skills Professionalism and ethical conduct Ability to handle sensitive situations with care and confidentiality
