Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in collecting blood samples and other specimens with precision and care. Your expertise will support accurate laboratory testing, diagnosis, and patient care. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Collect, label, and process blood and other specimens accurately according to established protocols Monitor patient vital signs and provide comfort during specimen collection procedures Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen handling in compliance with hospital policies Ensure proper storage and transportation of specimens to the laboratory for analysis Adhere to laboratory safety standards, including infection control practices and proper disposal of biohazard materials Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance throughout the process Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection within a clinical or hospital setting Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and laboratory science principles Certification or training in phlebotomy or related laboratory techniques preferred; relevant laboratory experience is highly valued Strong understanding of venipuncture methods, blood sampling procedures, and aseptic technique Ability to accurately measure vital signs and recognize abnormal findings that may impact specimen collection or patient care Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations Familiarity with hospital protocols, safety standards, and specimen processing requirements Join us as a Phlebotomist and become an essential part of our healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through precise specimen collection and laboratory support. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
