Job Description

Southern Technical Institute - Orlando is currently interviewing for Part-Time Phlebotomy Technician instructor ! No teaching experience necessary as long as you have 3 years working experience in a full laboratory setting. Southern Technical Institute Phlebotomy curriculum focuses very heavily on Laboratory Processing and also on blood draw technique. We are currently seeking a Phlebotomy Technician who has a passion for teaching- We are actively seeking part-time day positions available .
Phlebotomy Program Schedules:
Day Program meets two days per week from 9AM to 1PM for eight weeks. This schedule is consistent throughout the year. Southern Technical Institute would love for you to share your experience with our students to measure and improve the competency of Florida's future healthcare providers. No teaching experience required. We are willing to train the right candidates!
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The right candidate will be instructing adult students in a combination of practical and theoretical setting.
Basic duties include:
classroom instruction, tutoring, and student retention. Instructor shall offer instruction and supervision of students in classroom to meet the requirements of the Florida Commission for Independent Education, as well as state and federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of three years of work experience within your field provided direct patient care. Graduated from a Post Secondary school in Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or equivalent. We require official transcripts as proof of education. Teaching or Training experience is a plus; however, we are willing to train the right individuals. Experience and comfort in communicating with adults from other nations, cultures and ethnic groups. National certification is a plus, but not necessary. Possess excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community.
