PRN Phlebotomy Technician II

  • Inpatient Phlebotomy Details Under general supervision, performs phlebotomy and a variety of functions related to phlebotomy.
Provides functional supervision and training of Phlebotomy Technician I, wage staff and students as required.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Performs all duties of a Phlebotomist I 2. Performs routine and complex specimen procurement processes 3. Instruct and train others in phlebotomy techniques 4. Responds to or may direct responses to inquiries concerning phlebotomy policies and procedures 5. Performs data entry and computer tasks related to order entry and phlebotomy 6. Maintains phlebotomy area and equipment
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
1. High school graduation or equivalent, and 2. Current certification as a Phlebotomist Technician by ACA (American Certification Agency), AMT (American Medical Technologists), ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), NCA (National Center for Competency Testing), NCCT (National Credentialing Agency) or NHA (National Healthcareer Association), and 3. Six months full-time experience performing phlebotomy work, or completion of a Phlebotomy training program.
Schedule:
24 hours in a 4-week schedule, night shifts, flexible start times and shift lengths. Contact
