ASAP We are currently seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a 13-week contract opportunity with the Core Laboratory team at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. This hospital-based position offers consistent night shifts and the opportunity to work within a respected regional healthcare system serving Southeast Iowa. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimen collection on inpatient and outpatient populations Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling Process, prepare, and transport laboratory specimens according to protocol Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and infection control standards Provide exceptional patient care and customer service Assist with specimen processing and laboratory workflow Support collection services at affiliated facilities as needed Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory procedures Requirements Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience Hospital or clinical laboratory experience preferred Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills Knowledge of specimen handling and processing procedures Excellent communication and patient interaction skills Ability to work independently during night shifts High School Diploma or GED required Phlebotomy training or certification preferred Schedule Night Shift 8:00 PM•6:30 AM Weekend coverage required Variable night hours may be required based on department needs Why Apply?
