Full Job Description Phlebotomist Location:
Rockford, Illinois Pay Rate:
$30 to $35/hr
Contract:
12 weeks
Schedule:
PM Shift; every other weekend and holiday shifts required
Guaranteed Hours:
40 hours per week
Experience:
Minimum 3 years required About the Role We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a 12-week contract opportunity in Rockford, Illinois. This role supports hospital laboratory operations, including specimen collection, patient registration, order entry, sample processing, and accurate documentation using EPIC. Responsibilities Perform blood draws and specimen collections using proper patient identification Collect and process blood cultures, urine samples, swabs, finger sticks, and other specimens Enter orders, register patients, generate labels, and support lab workflow Prepare, label, accession, centrifuge, aliquot, and transport specimens accurately Communicate with clinical staff regarding stat requests, unclear orders, and specimen issues Requirements minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required bls/bcls certification required hospital phlebotomy and specimen processing experience preferred epic, his, lis, patient registration, and lab documentation experience preferred must be available for pm shift, every other weekend, and holiday coverage Bring your phlebotomy experience to a strong hospital lab opportunity where your accuracy, professionalism, and patient care skills will be valued every shift.
