We partner with healthcare facilities across the region to deliver accurate, reliable testing — your trusted lab and diagnostic imaging partner. Position Summary We're seeking a skilled, dependable Phlebotomy Technician to perform specimen collection at a client site in Rockford, IL. You'll be the face of SMS Medical on-site, ensuring quality collections and excellent patient care. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary draws on patients of all ages Properly label, handle, and process specimens per protocol Verify patient identity and maintain accurate documentation Follow all safety, infection-control, and HIPAA requirements Coordinate with on-site staff and SMS Medical operations Maintain a clean, organized collection area Qualifications Phlebotomy certification (preferred; or equivalent experience) Prior phlebotomy experience preferred Strong attention to detail and patient-care skills Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
