Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing blood sample collections at patients' homes, workplaces, and community sites. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate service while ensuring accurate specimen collection and processing. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be the friendly face of our laboratory services, bringing essential medical testing directly to patients in their preferred environment. Your expertise in venipuncture, blood sampling, and patient care will help facilitate timely diagnoses and treatment plans. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using aseptic techniques to collect specimens accurately and efficiently. Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safe collection procedures. Follow established laboratory procedures and techniques for specimen collection, labeling, and processing to maintain specimen integrity. Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the process. Maintain strict adherence to medical terminology standards and anatomy knowledge to ensure precise communication and procedure execution. Document all collection activities thoroughly in accordance with clinical laboratory protocols. Transport specimens safely to designated laboratories while maintaining sample quality and chain of custody. Experience Prior clinical laboratory experience or hospital experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods such as venipuncture. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to blood sampling and patient care. Experience working directly with patients in healthcare or community settings, showcasing excellent patient service skills. Familiarity with aseptic technique and blood collection safety protocols is essential for success in this role. Previous experience with vital signs measurement and hospital-based procedures is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
