Responsibilities Collect blood samples through venipuncture and skin puncture techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, following proper protocols and aseptic techniques Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures, including patient examinations and sample collection Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to infection control standards and laboratory procedures Document patient information, test results, and procedural details clearly in medical records Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring a compassionate experience Skills Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen handling protocols Hands-on experience with venipuncture (blood sampling), blood processing, and phlebotomy best practices Familiarity with clinical laboratory operations and hospital environments Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology fundamentals Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately while demonstrating excellent patient care skills Understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen collection and processing Effective communication skills to interact confidently with patients and healthcare team members Embark on a rewarding career path where your expertise makes a real difference!
