Phlebotomy Technician

Overview PRN Responsibilities + Prepare patients for blood draws, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process + Responsible for correct blood collection, draw blood from patients using venipuncture, capillary puncture, or other techniques; ensure proper identification and labeling of specimens + Organize, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing, ensure all specimens are properly processed and stored + Adhere to quality control and safety protocols to maintain the integrity of specimens and ensure accurate test results + Maintain and calibrate phlebotomy equipment and supplies, ensure everything is in working order and properly sanitized + Perform more complex or specialized phlebotomy procedures as required, often with minimal supervision Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent + BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained current + Minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience Employment Status Per Diem Shift Variable Equal Employment Opportunity EEOC KnowYourRights\ screen\_reader\ 10\ Need help finding the right job?
