Phlebotomist Hours:
Flexible schedules with varying hours (late nights and early mornings), including some weekends. Regular Sundays off with the exception of special blood drive events, or other business need .
Pay:
$17.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on education and experience (includes $1.50 mobile premium).
Description:
Seeking Phlebotomist to assist volunteer donors while completing registration, medical screening, and phlebotomy processes. Travel regularly with a team to various sites within Kentucky. Requires excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to easily learn new skills. Must work well with others and demonstrate a desire to effectively interact with the public.
Training:
T his position is located in Pikeville, but training will be approximately 10 - 12 weeks at our Beaumont location in Lexington (this time may not be consecutive). Lodging is provided and mileage is reimbursed.
Work Environment:
This position is very physical and regularly involves the following: Lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds when loading and unloading, or restocking. Carrying equipment up and downstairs. Regularly setting up and breaking down equipment at various locations. Travel by vehicle to/from blood drive sites. Occasional work at donor centers. Standing and walking for long periods of time. Interacting with donors, and general customer service. Reading, understanding, and applying Standard Operating Procedures. Entering and accessing information via computer or tablet device.
Requirements:
High school diploma/equivalent. Related training and education a plus. Basic MS Office skills with the ability to effectively navigate web-based applications and systems. Must possess excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to easily learn new skills, and follow standard operating procedures. Must work well with others and demonstrate a desire to effectively interact with the public. Have a strong, stable work history. Pre-employment background check, and drug screen are required. Proof of education/certifications required during the interview process.
