Job Description

$1,500 sign on bonus Job Summary Join our growing laboratory team and play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. Under the general direction of the Client Service Manager and the Director of Laboratory Services, the Phlebotomist / Clinical Lab Associate is responsible for collecting blood specimens and supporting essential laboratory operations. This role combines hands-on phlebotomy (venipuncture) with specimen processing, patient registration, and laboratory data entry. You'll ensure accurate handling and documentation of specimens to support timely and reliable clinical analysis. What You'll Do Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients Accurately register patients and enter orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) Process, label, and accession specimens for clinical testing Verify and manage requisitions and specimen documentation Maintain proper specimen handling, storage, and transport protocols Support overall laboratory workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment Travel to other locations as needed to support departmental coverage Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety, and infection control standards What We're Looking For Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program preferred Experience Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred Previous laboratory experience and computer/data entry experience preferred Licensure/Certification Phlebotomy certification preferred Key Skills & Competencies Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with laboratory systems and computer applications Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and departmental needs Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Why Join Us?
