Orthopedic and/or Spine experience preferred but not required. Must be a team player, dependable, professional, and dedicated.
Job Description:
The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in supporting providers and patients by performing administrative and clinical tasks The MA ensures efficient patient flow, accurate medical documentation, and a high standard of patient care.- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during examinations and procedures Take and record vital signs, patient history, height, weight, and other information as required Administer injections, medications, and immunizations as directed by the provider Collect and prepare laboratory specimens (e.g., blood, urine) for testing Perform EKGs, wound care, and other basic procedures within scope of practice Ensure patient comfort and answer routine questions Maintain clean and sanitary exam rooms and medical equipment Schedule patient appointments and manage check-in/check-out process Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Obtain insurance authorizations and verify insurance eligibility as needed Answer phone calls and relay messages to the clinical team Follow up on test results and patient referrals Manage inventory and order medical supplies Fully onsite position as required based on business need Regular use of computers and phones to conduct consultations and maintain records Ability to sit for extended periods while conducting consultations Schedule Practice Hours (Monday to Friday) Rotating weekends.Pay:
