Job Description

Company History Urbana OBGYN & Fertility opened in January 2026 to address an acute need for compassionate, empathetic women's healthcare. The clinic is currently open 2 days a week and will need a medical assistant and phlebotomist for 1 or 2 days per week. The pace is slower at Urbana OBGYN. Patients are given either 30 or 60 minute appointments. This translates to a less chaotic work-environment and more opportunities to make meaningful connections with patients. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration. Collect blood samples and other specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques with precision and care. Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments in outpatient clinics, hospital medicine units, or urgent care settings. Support medical administrative tasks by updating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately and efficiently. Prepare patients for procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment, including phlebotomy supplies and autoclave Assist with ICD coding.
Applicant Requirements:
Proven experience in clinical environments such as clinics, hospitals , or urgent care centers. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Ability to perform venipuncture. Excellent communication skills.
