Job Description

Position Title:
Float Phlebotomist II Work Location:
12321 Middlebrook Road, Germantown, MD (Floating across Montgomery County, MD)
Assignment Duration:
5 months
Work Schedule:
1st Shift | Mon-Fri | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (flexible start/end based on site coverage needs)
Work Arrangement:
Onsite Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist II will be responsible for performing venipuncture and supporting patient care operations across multiple locations within the Maryland/Montgomery County area. This float role requires flexibility, strong patient interaction skills, and reliable transportation. The position supports high-volume patient service centers and ensures accurate specimen collection and patient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture procedures and collect blood specimens from patients Support daily patient flow across multiple locations as a float resource Work in a fast-paced Patient Service Center environment Ensure proper labeling, handling, and processing of specimens Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow Provide excellent patient interaction and customer service Adapt quickly to different site locations as needed
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience performing venipunctures in a lab or hospital setting preferred High School Diploma or GED required Experience working with all patient age groups (pediatrics and geriatrics required) Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based PSC environment Reliable transportation required due to float assignment
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for 4-6 hours per day Fast-paced, patient-facing clinical environment Frequent travel between assigned locations within
