Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure accurate specimen collection, proper processing, and seamless communication with medical staff. Duties Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and other laboratory techniques, ensuring comfort and safety. Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing, adhering to strict aseptic techniques. Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to support accurate test results. Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols for specimen collection, processing, and documentation. Maintain a clean, organized work environment by sterilizing equipment and practicing proper infection control measures. Communicate effectively with patients to provide reassurance and explain procedures clearly. Assist in monitoring patient care areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards and hospital policies. Skills Proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and blood sampling techniques such as venipuncture. Experience in clinical laboratories or hospital settings is highly desirable. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to care for diverse patient populations. Ability to perform venipuncture confidently and accurately while maintaining aseptic technique. Familiarity with vital signs measurement and basic anatomy knowledge to support specimen collection. Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate patients about procedures.
