The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong background in laboratory procedures. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing venipuncture and blood sampling, ensuring the highest standards of patient service and safety. Duties Perform venipuncture and blood sampling with precision and care. Collect and process specimens according to established laboratory procedures. Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to prevent contamination. Assist in the preparation of specimens for laboratory analysis. Monitor and record vital signs as needed during patient interactions. Provide excellent patient service, addressing any concerns or questions. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow within the laboratory setting. Skills Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques. Experience in clinical laboratory settings, including hospital experience. Proficient in specimen collection and processing methods. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to phlebotomy and laboratory work. Familiarity with physiology and anatomy to ensure accurate blood sampling. Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Ability to perform vital sign assessments as part of patient care. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
