Mon•Fri, 8:00 am•5:00 pm Pay rate: $28/hr. on W2 Role Overview The Patient Services Representative III (Floater) serves as the primary point of contact for patients visiting clinics, physician offices, and patient service centers. This role is responsible for performing skilled and accurate blood collection (venipuncture and capillary draws), specimen handling, and patient interaction while ensuring safety, accuracy, and confidentiality. The position requires flexibility to work across multiple locations based on staffing needs. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling in the patient's presence Maintain accurate records and documentation Provide a professional, reassuring experience for patients during procedures Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and confidentiality standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Support multiple locations as needed (floater role) Manage multiple tasks in a high-volume setting Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors Education High school diploma or equivalent (required) Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states) Experience Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws At least 2 years in a patient service center preferred Customer service experience preferred Data entry/keyboard skills required Skills & Competencies Strong phlebotomy skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Flexibility for travel, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts Strong judgment and adherence to procedures Professionalism and patient-focused mindset
