You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient service, specimen integrity, and safety protocols to support accurate laboratory testing and diagnosis. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using proper aseptic technique to ensure specimen quality and patient safety Collect, process, and label specimens accurately according to laboratory procedures and protocols Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to support clinical laboratory testing needs Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen details with attention to detail Provide compassionate patient service by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout collection processes Follow infection control standards and adhere to hospital safety policies during specimen collection and handling Qualifications Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings, preferably with hospital experience Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques necessary for accurate blood sampling Certified or trained in phlebotomy with demonstrated venipuncture skills (blood sampling) and specimen collection expertise Familiarity with laboratory techniques including specimen processing and handling of biological samples Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing a positive experience during blood collection procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards Knowledge of vital signs measurement and basic anatomy concepts that support effective specimen collection Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly contribute to patient health outcomes.
