This energetic position offers the opportunity to work independently while making a meaningful difference in community health. You will be responsible for performing venipuncture, capillary draws, and vital signs, ensuring accurate specimen collection and processing in a professional, compassionate manner. Your expertise will help facilitate timely laboratory testing and diagnosis, contributing to improved patient outcomes. Duties Travel to various patient locations, including homes, clinics, and hospitals, to perform blood draws and specimen collection with precision and care Obtain accurate patient information and ensure proper labeling and documentation of specimens according to laboratory protocols Collect blood samples using venipuncture or skin puncture techniques while maintaining strict aseptic practices Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate to support comprehensive patient assessments Follow laboratory procedures and techniques for specimen handling, processing, and transportation to ensure sample integrity Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and demonstrating empathy throughout the process Maintain detailed records of all collections, procedures performed, and any observations relevant to patient care or specimen quality Skills Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection protocols Proficiency in venipuncture (blood sampling), capillary puncture, and phlebotomy best practices Experience with clinical laboratory processes and hospital settings is highly desirable Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations Ability to accurately interpret medical terminology and understand anatomy related to blood sampling sites Knowledge of physiology principles relevant to blood collection and vital signs measurement Familiarity with aseptic technique to prevent contamination or infection during specimen collection Join us as a Mobile Phlebotomist if you're passionate about delivering top-tier patient care in a fast-paced environment!
