Phlebotomist - PRN

Our medical assistants will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation. You will support physicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail oriented and bring a positive, engaging personality to the team and to our patients. We are hiring a PRN clinical assistant/phlebotomist who has the flexibility to work at our Woodbury, Plymouth and Eagan, MN location. This position also requires flexibility to move between our Eagan and Plymouth locations when needed. We are looking for exceptional candidates with a great personality and good clinical skills. This position is a PRN position.

Responsibilities Include:

Interview patients and document basic medical history Organize and schedule appointments Update and file medical records and insurance reports Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services Check with patients and type up patients' charts Assist during medical examinations Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Administer medication(s) per proper protocol Document patient encounters in a detailed and professional manner Take and document vital signs Proficient phlebotomy and lab understanding Therapeutic Phlebotomy procedure Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary Knowledge of medical office management systems, medical terminology, and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
