In this float role, you'll step into a variety of settings—providing compassionate service, collecting high‑quality specimens, and supporting critical diagnostic testing that helps guide life‑changing medical decisions.

  • Hours vary; shifts may range from 7:00am-4:00pm to 8:30am-5:30pm, with schedule changes possible based on daily coverage needs
  • Why This Role Matters
  • As a Float Phlebotomist, you play a critical role in maintaining continuity of care across multiple sites. Your flexibility and expertise ensure patients receive timely, accurate service—even when unexpected staffing needs arise.
  • What You'll Do
  • Travel to multiple locations to provide coverage for call-outs, vacations, and leaves of absence
  • Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric
  • Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the patient's presence
  • Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and required records
  • Create a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients across all assigned sites
  • What We're Looking For
  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Previous Patient Service Center experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel frequently, including last-minute schedule changes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
