Job Requirements and Properties Work Onsite Full Time Schedule Full Time Job Description . Cottage Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team and support high-quality patient care. In this role, you will collect blood and other specimens for testing, ensuring proper patient identification, labeling, and handling to maintain accuracy and reliability of results. You will perform venipunctures and capillary draws, assist patients with specimen collection (such as urine or stool), and ensure all samples are processed and transported according to hospital policies. Maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and infection control practices, is essential. This position also involves supporting laboratory operations by stocking supplies, maintaining records, and assisting with quality control processes. You will communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinical staff, providing a positive and professional experience both in person and over the phone. Additional responsibilities may include performing waived testing, mentoring new staff, and supporting overall workflow within the department. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and patient-focused care. We appreciate a 2 shift per month commitment for per diem roles.
