IMMEDIATE HIRE!
!!! Avantic Medical Lab is looking to hire motivated Phlebotomists for our New Jersey locations to join its growing team (Full-Time, Part-Time, Per-Diem positions). These positions combine administrative tasks along with Phlebotomy coverage at our NJ locations. We are looking for someone thorough as well as personable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They must be a team player who can strive in a busy but rewarding environment
Description of Duties:
Phlebotomy and Lab
  • Identify patients and their personal information using their ID, documents or other means
  • Accessioning, requisitioning and processing patient samples
  • Determine the right venipuncture method based on patient age, health etc.
  • Reassure patients and help them relax
  • Find veins that are suitable for puncture
  • Draw blood (pediatric, age 0-18), using sterilized needles, vials and other equipment
  • Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples
  • Label samples correctly and send or deliver them for testing
  • Answer patient questions and provide useful information
  • Keep accurate records on fluid specimens and tests
  • Prepare samples and aliquots for lab processing, including barcoding and compliance
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards while working Other duties as needed Admin & Office work
  • Provide admin and office coverage.
  • Organize mail, bills, faxes and billing paperwork
  • Schedule and conduct home draws
  • Responsible for inventory management of supplies and facilitating order fulfilment
  • Answering calls and providing customer service
Phlebotomy Technician Requirements:
  • Must have a Certification in phlebotomy
  • Proven experience and comfort with blood collections.
  • Knowledge of proper handling techniques and disposal policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to calm anxious children and adults.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Patience and presence of mind.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and good handwriting skills.
Must have Phlebotomist Certificate (or Certificate of successful completion of the Phlebotomy course) Competitive Compensation based on experience Must be able to provide professional References for the past 3 years Application Question(s): Do you have a valid NJ Driver's License When did you receive your Phlebotomy Certificate?
