Your expertise in specimen collection, patient interaction, and laboratory procedures will ensure seamless laboratory operations and contribute to improved health outcomes. This paid position offers an engaging environment where your skills directly impact patient well-being and diagnostic accuracy. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care, adhering to aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity. Willing to go to the patient's home. Collect, process, label, and document specimens accurately following established laboratory procedures. Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safe and effective specimen collection. Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during collection. Maintain strict adherence to laboratory techniques and safety protocols, including infection control standards. Record detailed notes on specimen collection, patient interactions, and any deviations from standard procedures. Assist with laboratory tasks such as preparing samples for testing and maintaining equipment cleanliness. Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and blood sampling methods such as venipuncture. Hands-on experience with specimen collection, processing, and patient care in hospital or clinical environments. Familiarity with laboratory safety standards including aseptic technique. Strong understanding of laboratory techniques related to blood sampling and specimen handling. Excellent communication skills for providing compassionate patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
