Job Description

IMMEDIATE
opening for a skilled and friendly Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood sampling and specimen collection with a focus on patient comfort and safety. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate laboratory procedures and high-quality patient service. Mon
  • Fri 9a
  • 5:30p with rotating Sat 9a
  • 1p.
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws for laboratory testing.
  • Collect, label, and process specimens.
  • Maintain aseptic technique to prevent contamination during specimen collection.
  • Ensure proper handling and transportation of specimens to the lab.
  • Document all procedures accurately in patient records and laboratory systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control protocols at all times.
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for use.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and laboratory procedures. Required
  • 1+ year experience in blood sampling, venipuncture, and specimen collection processing
Preferred:
lab environments or hospital setting
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
