Job Details Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining and coordinating accessioning, handling and grossing preparation of surgical specimens and laboratory inquiries regarding specimen collection and processing for the hospital Maintains and coordinates all laboratory inquiries and procedures regarding referred testing specimen collection and processing for the hospital and acts as a resource for hospital personnel regarding specimen procurement, testing and results Maintains and coordinates all laboratory specimen pick-up and deliveries between CHS Hospitals and CHS Regional Laboratory Service facilities and performs other duties as assignedQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Computer experience Good oral and written communications skills Six months experience in all phases of Phlebotomy in a hospital environment Weekends and holidays as scheduled. Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy technicians Experience in protocols involved in accessioning, handling, and preparation, including thin prep processing of cytology specimens desired. Posted Salary Range USD $23.98 - USD $29.97 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
