The Phlebotomy Educator will be responsible for identifying the education needs for new and existing associates. They will develop and implement a training program that focuses on streamlining the training process, while also improving the associates technical and customer service skills. They will ensure that all associates throughout the entire outreach department have the same training regardless of the site they are covering. They will focus on phlebotomy, processing, and customer service. Actively participate in the interviewing, selection, and hiring process for new associates. Conduct new associate onboarding, including: Reviewing safety information during the first week of training Providing facility tours Reviewing job descriptions and communicating duties, expectations, and responsibilities Assisting new associates with developing goals and expectations for their first several weeks Coordinate and plan training programs in collaboration with Supervisors and Management. Monitor the progress of new associates and actively participate in associate training initiatives. Travel to various draw sites as needed; work hours may vary based on departmental needs. Provide mentorship and ongoing support to both new and current associates. Collaborate with Supervisors and Management to develop and evaluate educational checklists and competency assessments for associates. Participate in the development of educational and training programs for current associates. Identify educational and developmental needs for new and existing associates. Monitor annual competencies for Laboratory Support Technicians (LSTs) and assist associates in completing required annual competencies and continuing education requirements. Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of LST training programs for newly hired associates. Support Supervisors and Management with associate performance evaluations. Train and mentor Preceptors on proper training procedures and completion of competency checklists. Work the bench as needed, including Performing phlebotomy procedures Processing specimens pre-analytically Accessioning, labeling, and preparing specimens for transport Providing clerical support duties Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisors, Management, or the Director related to laboratory education and training needs.

Years of Equivalent Experience Preferred:
3-5 Years of Equivalent Experience License & Certification Phlebotomy Certification
