Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Specimen Collection Technician will collect and process urine drugs screens including point of care tests as well as confirmation testing. Staff will communicate results and coordinate care relevant to client care needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are duties which are primary to the position. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. The essential functions of this position are: Provides Urine Drug Testing as requested by the clinical and medical team or indicated by protocol. Processes and sends out confirmation tests as requested by clinical and medical team or indicated by protocol. Enters point of care test results into EHR. Bills out Urine Drug Tests within the EHR as requested by supervisor or indicated by protocol. Communicates positive test results to clinical staff. 6. Scans and files all clinically relevant documentation into the HER. Maintains & orders all Drug Screening Supplies for correlating TCC sites. Greets clients and visitors from assigned sites. Schedule appointments within the EHR as applicable.SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Secondary ftmctions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position and can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc. Other duties as assigned.COMPETENCIES
Knowledge/skill regarding office practices and procedures Skill in operating office machinery with speed and accuracy Ability in the area of effective communication and interpersonal skills with public and co-workers Demonstrates appropriate understanding of working with confidential material and situations Ability to understand and assimilate new information quicklyMINIMUM OUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
