What You'll Do
As a Phlebotomist, you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care and laboratory accuracy. You'll collect specimens, maintain data integrity, and ensure smooth communication across departments.
Responsibilities include:
Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection using proper techniques and age‑appropriate devices
Ensuring safe handling and proper collection methods to maintain specimen integrity and quality
Following correct procedures for labeling, accessioning, and delivering specimens to the appropriate department
Maintaining the specimen collection component of the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Performing patient registration functions for courier specimens
Responding promptly and professionally to STAT, ASAP, NOW, and outpatient collection requests
Communicating effectively with departments and alerting appropriate staff regarding STAT orders
This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment, including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Education / Certification / Skills
High school diploma or GED required
Phlebotomy certification (CPT) or health‑related experience preferred; on‑the‑job training may be provided
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Typing and basic computer skills required
