Full Job Description Full-time Specimen Collection Technician Key Details Pay :
$19.73/hour
Location :
You will rotate between our Clackamas and Jubitz (N. PDX) locations
Schedule :
Monday
  • Friday; 8 am
  • 5 pm (with flexibility to work overtime as needed) Must be available to work 1-2 Saturday shifts/month, 8 am
  • 2 pm

  • We support the safety and success of our staff, clients, and communities. What You'll Do As a Specimen Collection Technician, you'll be the professional on the front lines
  • collecting drug and alcohol specimens from commercial drivers and operators with accuracy, care, and integrity. This isn't just a clinical role
  • it's a compliance role.
You'll follow collection procedures precisely, treat every participant with professionalism and respect, and help keep two collection sites running smoothly. If you take pride in doing detail-oriented work correctly every single time and enjoy knowing your work has a direct impact on public safety, this job is for you. In addition to the specimen collection process, this role will support business operations through various administrative tasks. Here's what your day may look like: Check in participants, verify identification, explain the collection process, and ensure each person is treated with professionalism and discretion Conduct collections of urine, saliva, hair, and breath specimens, maintaining strict chain-of-custody at every step Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage front-desk responsibilities between collections Process invoices and collect payment for services Complete all required regulatory documentation accurately and on time — no exceptions Maintain organized, stocked, and inspection-ready collection sites at both locations Coordinate with the team during high-volume periods and step in where needed What We're Looking For No medical background required. Our onboarding program provides all the training you need to step into this role with confidence. You do need to be someone who follows procedure precisely, communicates clearly under pressure, and understands that the integrity of each collection matters

Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years in customer service or a customer-facing administrative role Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new software systems Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen, including THC Strong written and verbal communication skills Learn more about our mission here .
