Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where your expertise in specimen collection and patient care will play a vital role in delivering accurate diagnostic results. In this energized role, you will perform blood draws, handle specimens with precision, and ensure a positive experience for every patient. Your knowledge of laboratory procedures and physiology will help facilitate smooth operations within our clinical laboratory environment. Duties Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and other approved techniques, ensuring minimal discomfort and maximum safety. Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and laboratory protocols. Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support comprehensive patient assessments. Maintain detailed records of specimen collection, patient information, and test orders to ensure traceability and compliance. Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring a comfortable environment. Follow all laboratory procedures, safety guidelines, and medical terminology standards to uphold quality and safety standards. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the work area and sterilization of equipment to support infection control practices. Experience Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting or hospital environment is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory techniques such as venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen handling. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to blood collection sites and patient care procedures. Familiarity with medical terminology related to laboratory testing and patient documentation. Experience working with diverse patient populations, providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism. Previous exposure to hospital or healthcare facility protocols is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates. $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
